Innovative new material from Stora Enso

Stora Enso has in a collaboration with Mälarplast and FrostPharma has developed a material for hazardous waste containers based on recycled plastic and residual waste from Swedish forests. Hazardous waste containers are used in healthcare for stinging or cutting waste.

WoodSafe® hazardous waste containers have a 50% lower CO2 footprint compared to hazardous waste containers made of conventional plastic, which means extensive climate savings for Sweden's Regions.
