Eskilstuna selected for Viable City's initiative Climate-neutral cities 2030

Viable Cities is a strategic innovation program focusing on the transition to climate-neutral and sustainable cities. The program's mission is climate-neutral cities 2030 with a good life for everyone within the planet's borders.
Mälarplast is one of several local companies that have been involved in Eskilstuna's application for the Viable Cities program, and on October 1, the good news came that Eskilstuna, together with 13 other cities, has been accepted for the initiative. The admission means that Eskilstuna will have the opportunity to shift up the ongoing sustainability work with the ambition of creating conditions for local actors to, in collaboration with the municipality, authorities and civil society, speed up climate change.

For Mälarplast, this means continued development of our sustainability offering with a focus on circular flows of plastic products and the ongoing shift from petroleum-based plastics to renewable, regenerated or bio-based ones.
