Traditional engraving craftsmanship with modern technology

Svenska Medalj is Scandinavia's largest producer of medals and customised metal products. The company is mainly known for its production of noble medals such as the Nobel Prize, Illis Quorum, H.M. The King's Medal, to name a few. They have also made themselves known for delivering customer-unique profile products in metal to large international players and, of course, even smaller players who demand Swedish quality. Svenska Medalj also has a large department specialising in engraving and digital printing.
The digital printing technology has proven to be particularly suitable for printing on different types of plastic products with flat surfaces, including A Good Company's mobile cover produced by Mälarplast. Svenska Medalj's approach has many advantages over traditional techniques as they offer short start times and low start costs, which means that they can produce small series with good economy. This provides greater opportunities for different design choices and a collection in constant change, compared to other technologies with high installation costs.

The collaboration with Mälarplast provides many benefits according to Olle Qvarnström, CEO of Svenska Medalj.

”Through our collaboration, we solve major logistical challenges thanks to the fact that our companies are based locally in Eskilstuna. This leads to very short lead times, great flexibility and opportunities for more close collaborations.”

Svenska Medalj is also a major producer of nameplates for the Nordic region's leading restaurants and retail chains. In the near future, Mälarplast in collaboration with Svenska Medalj will launch a new world-unique product produced with the same technology and materials as the biodegradable mobile shells.
