FrostGreen receives the 2026 ACT Ecolabel Innovation Award!

We are delighted to congratulate our partner FrostGreen on receiving the 2026 ACT Ecolabel Innovation Award from My Green Lab! The award recognizes FrostGreen’s efforts to reduce reliance on fossil-based plastics in laboratory waste disposal.

Together with Woodsafe, FrostGreen has developed hazardous waste containers made from biocomposite materials, consisting of 80% renewable forest residues. According to a life cycle assessment, the material has 66% lower fossil greenhouse gas emissions per kilogram compared to virgin polypropylene.

At Mälarplast, we are proud to be a partner of FrostGreen and Woodsafe and to see their innovative, sustainability-driven work receiving international recognition.
