In autumn 2017, Mälarplast received an order from the Swedish Coop to produce tailor-made pick and mix sweet dispensers for all of its stores in Sweden with a very tight delivery schedule. We went from design and prototyping to toolmaking and full-scale production of 80,000 containers in two sizes that were supplied within six months of the project starting. An important element of the project was the choice of a new type of material used to make the containers – and the choice was Ecozen, a PET plastic with biomass, totally free from bisphenols.

Mälarplast has since expanded its range of dispensers and now supplies several complete pick and mix shelf systems.
